ATLANTIS is Recruiting

ATLANTIS is recruiting three PhD candidates to work on the legal framework for computational antitrust. The positions start on 1 December 2026 and run for four years. They are based at the VU Amsterdam Faculty of Law.

Two positions are legal-track. One position is cross-project and more computational. The legal-track candidates will work on the legal framework for data access by antitrust agencies and on the legal regime governing the use of AI by those agencies. The computational-track candidate will work across both projects, with a focus on data practices, AI methods, bias, and explainability.

ATLANTIS will be run as a team. Drafts will circulate internally before they go to the international advisory board. Papers will be co-authored. Candidates will work with antitrust agencies, contribute to ATLANTIS events, present their research at workshops and conferences.
